On Stage with Inuk Soprano Deantha Edmunds celebrates Inuit culture, language, and storytelling through music. Presented by DalChorus and the Fountain School's EDIA Committee, this special performance features acclaimed Inuk soprano and composer Deantha Edmunds, C.M., alongside Nunavut-born DalVoice student Princess Kusugak. Audiences will experience music inspired by Inuit heritage, history, and contemporary identity, creating a powerful evening of connection, reflection, and cultural celebration.
Directed by Dr. Nicole Jordan with pianist, Joseph Dowell, 色妹妹直播鈥檚 DalChorus students share the stage with Edmunds and Kusugak. This beautiful collaboration brings together sacred and secular works, in traditional Inuktitut and English. Featured selections include:聽

Deantha Edmunds is Canada's first Inuk professional classical singer, a Member of the Order of Canada, and a multi-award-winning performer & composer. In 2025, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Music from Acadia University, and she won the JUNO for 鈥楥lassical Composition of the Year,鈥� becoming the first Indigenous artist to receive that honour. She uses her voice to share about her journey as an artist and the issues that matter the most to her: the climate crisis, MMIWG2S+, Truth and Reconciliation, and the threads that connect us. As Deantha draws in accolades from across Canada and the world, she remains centered on sharing her voice and vision with her whole heart.
