Why take The Inquiring Mind Post-Secondary course?
Looking to strengthen your mental health knowledge and build practical skills you can use on campus and beyond鈥�at no cost? If you鈥檙e a听teaching assistant, student leader, peer supporter, or simply someone who want to learn about how to support others mental health,听The Inquiring Mind: Post鈥慡econdary听is for you.
罢丑颈蝉听free, evidence鈥慴ased course for students, developed by the听Mental Health Commission of Canada, builds mental health literacy while equipping you with real鈥憌orld skills that are relevant to your academic life, future career, and everyday interactions.
What you鈥檒l learn:
Through interactive modules and applied learning, you鈥檒l gain the skills to:
- Recognize signs of declining mental health听in yourself and others
- Know when and how to seek support听for mental health concerns or mental illness
- 础辫辫濒测听evidence鈥慴ased coping strategies听to support your mental health and well鈥慴eing
- Respond to conversations about suicide听on campus
- Reduce stigma听and help build a more supportive campus community
Why it鈥檚 worth it:
- Free for students
- Receive a听completion certificate from the Mental Health Commission of Canada

Course format:
- Available to Dal and King's students only
- Free of charge
- Delivered in听4 interactive modules (4 hours total)
- Participants must complete听all 4 modules听to receive certification and recognition
