Tension on the roads

The death of a Toronto cyclist after an altercation with a driver, the former attorney general of Ontario, has brought the dangers of drivers and cyclists sharing the road to the forefront.

On the one hand, cyclists face many hazards as they journey through city streets: car doors thrown open, uneven roads, and cars, trucks and buses that veer too close.

On the other, drivers get increasingly aggravated by cyclists ignore the rules and take too many chances.
