É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥ students are being asked to kick-start a fundraising campaign that could transform the university, and catapult their school into its third century at the top of the Canadian heap.

É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥Ã•s next major capital fundraising campaign is still on the drawing board, but a $25-million commitment from students will make for a compelling and impressive case when fundraisers go to meet potential donors. The focus of the capital campaign will be students, says É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥Ã•s Vice President for External Relations Floyd Dykeman.

Ã’The campaign will be about raising money to enhance the É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥ experience for all students; to ensure that É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥ -remains accessible to qualified students who may not have the financial wherewithal; to build partnerships with the community outside the university; and to perpetuate the greatest É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥ tradition of them all, that the graduates of this school go on to make outstanding contributions to their province, region, country and the world.â€  Ñ DN
