High Country Campus Expansion
A new immersive learning experience for Year 9 students at our High Country Campus in Moonbah, in the Snowy Mountains of Jindabyne. The Moonbah Program is a unique outdoor-education residential experience that provides É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥ students with the opportunity to grow, learn and connect.
A Transformative Sanctuary
Established more than 30 years ago through the generous support of our Redlands families, our magnificent High Country Campus is home to our Year 9 Moonbah Program, our Outdoor Education Camps (Years 7 and 11) and also our Winter School, providing students a unique opportunity to combine their studies with routine snow sports activities.
High Country Campus offers our students a transformative sanctuary where they can immerse themselves in nature, cultivate a profound appreciation for the environment and develop the leadership skills and resilience necessary for personal development.
Philanthropic
Impact
Originally developed by the School in partnership with the É«ÃÃÃÃÖ±²¥ Parents and Friends Association, High Country Campus was opened in 1996 with two accommodation buildings. Two more buildings were since added, but to accommodate the whole of Year 9 split over two terms, and due to the generosity of our community, we were able to expand the current accommodation to create more capacity for students and staff.

Thank You
The expansion of our High Country Campus would not have been possible without the generous support of our donors. It is thanks to you that we have been able to:

Expansion of Student Dorms
Expand one of the two student dormitories on-site, enabling half of the Year 9 cohort per term to attend the Moonbah Program, sleeping up to 50 students per dormitory, separated into boys and girls.

Expansion of Staff Facilities
Develop staff facilities to provide independent living from student accommodation for Redlands High Country Campus staff. Part of this will be to build a permanent 3-bedroom home for the Head of High Country Campus and family, to support year-round living on campus

Leave a Legacy
Level the playing field for sports and athletics, make additions to the recreation room and purchase other resources to support the Program.

Experiential
Learning
A bespoke residential experience, the Year 9 Moonbah Program, is underpinned by Redlands’ commitment to the development of each student’s personal growth. Living in High Country Campus outside of Jindabyne, students connect, learn and lead to foster deep understanding and critical thinking via a rich and varied interdisciplinary curriculum. Through the 9-week program, students deepen independence, responsibility and are empowered to become the authors of their future selves.
The Moonbah Program aligns with our Vision of inspiring students to achieve life readiness and our Strategic Driver of supporting and challenging students to achieve personal excellence through programs and pathways.
From 2025, our Year 9 students will have the opportunity to spend either Term 1 or Term 2 in this immersive residential program that provides opportunities for self-discovery, collaborative learning, building relationships and community mindedness.
